The Einstein Healthcare Network (EHN), Philadelphia, is seeking a full-time, board-certified Gastroenterologist to Chair our Division of Gastroenterology.
We are a lively, energetic and committed group of gastroenterologists providing evidence-based, quality care to our patients; and clinical and academic training to our residents and fellows. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 12 or more full time, fully employed faculty gastroenterologists and mid-level providers and, in conjunction with our Fellowship Program Director, 9 post-doctoral Fellows. The candidate must have experience as a successful clinician, educator, and clinical administrator. We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with experience in advanced endoscopic procedures. The Division is responsible for delivery of care at two of Einstein’s three acute care hospitals, as well as several free-standing endoscopy and outpatient venues.

The ideal candidate will be board certiﬁed in GI/Hepatology and have at least 5 years of faculty experience. Experience as an Assistant Fellowship Director is preferred. Advanced endoscopy is not necessary, but an interest in IBD or hepatology would be beneﬁcial.

The successful GI/Hepatology Chief candidate will be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree), who is board certified in Gastroenterology. He/she will demonstrate scholarship, research, clinical and service accomplishments that would merit the rank of Associate Professor or higher in the College of Medicine. He/she will have a record of successful experience in academic leadership and mentoring, outstanding clinical and teaching skills, a track record of successful and productive collaborative research efforts and the demonstrated ability to create and build programs.
