Study shows high success rate for fecal transplants

Fecal transplants via enema led to a full recovery of 25 out of 27 patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile bacterial infections, according to a study from McMaster University in Ontario. Dr. Neil Stollman, who practices in California, said while only about 10% of patients have the type of infection that might warrant the procedure, the number is growing. Reuters (1/26)
