Naga P. Chalasani, MD, FACG is being honored this year as presenter of the David Y. Graham Lecture, “Idiosyncratic Drug-Induced Liver Injury: What have We Learned in the Last Decade?”  The presenter is chosen by the President and is subject to approval by the Board of Trustees. This named lectureship was established in 2004 in recognition of the many contributions to clinical gastroenterology made by David Y. Graham, MD, MACG. The lectureship was made possible through a donation by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Inc., and Meretek Diagnostics, Inc. All who are registered for the Annual Scientific Meeting are encouraged to attend.

Dr. Chalasani currently serves as Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and as the Director of its Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is a clinical hepatologist by training and in practice and is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology, and transplant hepatology CAQ. He has published over 130 original manuscripts and dozens of review articles and text book chapters. He serves on the editorial boards of many scientific journals, including Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is one of founding PIs for the NIDDK-funded Drug Induced Liver Injury Network (DILIN) and for the NIDDK-funded NASH Clinical Research Network. In addition, he is the PI for an R01 grant and a K24 grant. He is currently a Trustee of the ACG and has previously served as a member of its Clinical Research Committee and Board of Governors.
