What’s new here and important for clinicians?
The importance of this case series is to point out the association of sprue-like enteropathy in patients on olmesartan. This medication is one of the more commonly prescribed medications for blood pressure control, thus, patients and clinicians alike need to be aware of this not so uncommon phenomena.

What do patients need to know?
Patients need to report and symptoms such as bloating and loose stool to their physicians so that they can consider a brief discontinuation of their medication to see if symptoms resolve rather than beginning a very expensive work up to rule out medication induce cause.
