Your Efforts to Raise Awareness May Win an ACG SCOPY Award
In 2015, the College introduced the SCOPY: Service Award for Colorectal Cancer Outreach, Prevention & Year-Round Excellence to recognize the achievements of ACG members in their community engagement, education and awareness efforts for colorectal cancer prevention. This is a great opportunity for ACG members to showcase their best efforts in raising awareness in their communities.
Last year, ACG honored 23 ACG members and their dedicated staffs by awarding the inaugural SCOPY awards to recognize a tremendous range of colorectal cancer prevention awareness campaigns and events including community education events, awareness walks, fun runs, a spin-a-thon, infographics and other patient education materials, as well Dress-in-Blue-Day photos, examples of radio, news and print media outreach, videos, and other unique awareness activities, even an original poem.
