Hepatitis C Update from AASLD 2016

YounossiDr. Zobair Younossi, Chairman of the Department of Medicine at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and Dr. Nancy Reau, Hepatology Section Head at Rush University Medical Cancer, were invited by the ACG to review noteworthy abstracts from the AASLD meeting in Boston.  This informative webcast reviews key issues in HCV treatment that were presented at AASLD this year with a focus on sharing important developments with implications for GI practice.

Dr. Younossi, a member of the ACG Institute Board of Directors, and Dr. Reau, one of ACG’s “Hepatitis School” faculty members, selected novel and relevant AASLD abstracts of particular note for U.S. gastroenterologists. This brief and informative webinar offers their perspective on research findings covering diverse clinical challenges in HCV treatment and sheds light on studies presented at AASLD in 2016 relating to therapeutic options for patients who have failed DAAs.
