In Memoriam

The Officers and Trustees of the American College of Gastroenterology note with great sadness the death of ACG Past President Marvin M. Schuster, MD, MACG, of Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr. Schuster served the College with distinction as president from 1996 to 1997.  He will be remembered by his ACG friends for his thoughtful leadership and contributions to the life of the College.

Dr. Schuster was Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the former Director of the Division of Gastroenterology at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and the Founding Director of the Marvin M. Schuster Center for Digestive and Motility Disorders at Johns Hopkins Bayview. Dr. Schuster is survived by his wife, Dr. Lois Bernstein Schuster, their three daughters, and seven grandchildren.
