Colon Cancer Awareness: Save and Share Graphics Focused on Family History, Peace of Mind Through Screening
Graphics Feature Lawrence Meadows and Craig Melvin
Lawrence Meadows could not keep down any food. He kept shedding weight. He didn’t feel normal.
After two months of uncertainty, in October 2016 Meadows found out that he was suffering from Stage IV colon cancer. Since then, Meadows has been battling colon cancer and spreading awareness with his brother Craig Melvin, of NBC News and MSNBC.
As part of their awareness efforts, Meadows and Melvin were featured in “Resolved to Beat Colon Cancer,” the cover story of the Colorectal Cancer Special Issue of ACG MAGAZINE.
Now, to extend their efforts, the two agreed to be featured in these CRC awareness images. The images address two important colorectal cancer awareness messages: to know and share your family history of colon cancer, and the peace of mind that can be achieved through screening.
*Save and share the graphics to increase awareness.*
Help Mr. Meadows and Mr. Melvin share the lifesaving message of CRC screening by saving these images and sharing them on social media. Sharing their story is a joint collaboration of ACG’s Public Relations and Minority Affairs and Cultural Diversity Committees.
