Certification of Covid-19 Vaccination:

To support safely and responsibly convening at ACG’s educational programs, the College’s Board of Trustees voted that the COVID-19 vaccination be required of attendees and exhibitors on-site at our Regional Courses, until further notice. While the College sees a reasonable likelihood that we can convene safely in the current environment, ACG cannot guarantee that no one will be exposed to COVID-19. ACG will continue to monitor the highly fluid situation and will make all necessary and appropriate adjustments as our conferences approach. All attendees will be required to attest to the following statement at the time of registration:

I attest that I will be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, based on the CDC guidelines at the time of the course.

Course Description:

Join colleagues in Indianapolis for ACG’s 1-day IBD School and weekend Midwest Regional Postgraduate Course. ACG’s IBD School, to be held on Friday, August 26, is a day-long interactive program that features leading experts who will discuss the latest updates in IBD management. This program is designed to better enable clinical gastroenterologists and their advanced practice provider colleagues to diagnose and treat patients more efficiently.

Led by Course Directors Nalini M. Guda, MD, FACG, and Nancy S. Reau, MD, FACG, the Midwest Regional Postgraduate Course, offered on Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, will explore areas the gastroenterologist often faces in clinical practice and addresses management updates in a variety of gastrointestinal and hepatic areas. During this course, multiple areas will be covered, including issues in the foregut, functional disorders, oncology, small and large bowel, recent guidelines, colorectal cancer, and drugs and addiction. The structure of the program includes a mix of didactic presentations delivered by expert faculty, case presentations, and significant question and answer opportunities.

While in Indianapolis, venture into the great outdoors or stay inside to watch your favorite sports action. Take a trek along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, the first of its kind, which is an urban 16-mile trail connecting six cultural enclaves, 50 attractions, and nearly 200 restaurants. Take a tour of the homes of the Colts and the Pacers, see a minor league baseball game at Victory Field, or visit the NCAA Hall of Champions. You can also take a short drive and see the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the Indianapolis 500.
