Recommendations for COVID-19 and Other Infectious Diseases:

The American College of Gastroenterology endorses evidence-based public health measures designed to prevent and minimize the spread of infectious diseases. To support safely and responsibly convening at ACG’s educational programs, the College strongly encourages all in-person attendees at its meetings to follow national and local public health recommendations. While the College has convened meetings safely in the current environment, ACG cannot guarantee that an attendee will not be exposed to infectious diseases. Anyone experiencing symptoms should refrain from in-person attendance and instead participate in those programs available through virtual access. ACG will continue to monitor the situation and make necessary and appropriate adjustments.

Course Description:

Join colleagues in Nashville for ACG’s 1-day IBD School and weekend Southern Regional Postgraduate Course. ACG’s IBD School, to be held on Friday, December 1, is a day-long interactive program that features leading experts who will discuss the latest updates in IBD management. This program is designed to better enable clinical gastroenterologists and their advanced practice provider colleagues to diagnose and treat patients more efficiently.

Led by Course Directors Evan S. Dellon, MD, MPH, FACG and Rathi Narayan, MD, MBA, FACG, the Southern Regional Postgraduate Course, offered on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3, will explore areas that gastroenterologists often face in clinical practice and address management updates in a variety of gastrointestinal and hepatic areas. During this course, multiple topics will be covered including IBD, esophagus, GI motility, upper and lower GI potpourri, and liver. The structure of the program includes a mix of didactic presentations delivered by expert faculty, case presentations, hands-on workshops, and significant question and answer opportunities.

Both programs will take place at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel, ideally located within walking distance of many of Music City’s points of interest, including Bridgestone Arena, the Ryman Auditorium, Assembly Food Hall, and more. Whether you are a sports fan, a music lover, or a foodie, there are a wide variety of things to see and do in this exciting city.
