Eligibility for the ACG Established Investigator Bridge Funding Award

For fastest consideration, please submit this form by November 4, 2024 (you may submit it after this date), it is required as part of the application process for the ACG Established Investigators Bridge Funding Award. ACG’s approval letter is recommended for inclusion in your application through ACG’s grant portal www.gi.org/research-awards (the grant submission deadline is December 2, 2024).

Are you an ACG Member?*

Full ACG membership in good standing is required. Applicants must have an approved ACG membership no later than October 2024 (Applications are due by September 13, 2024)

Are you a U.S. or Canadian based physician (MD or DO)?*

Will you have 30% protected time for this project?*

Are you a minimum of 8 years out of fellowship or a terminal training program? (fellowship or terminal training completed in 2016)*

Do you have a faculty position (60% or more academic appointment) at a university, medical school or other healthcare institution primarily in the department of gastroenterology or hepatology at time of application?*

Prior Funding Requirement

Do you have evidence of a recently concluded federal clinical or translational research award within the last three years, in gastroenterology or hepatology, such as NIH R01, K-award, or VA Merit Award? National Science Awards, DoD, CIHR multi-year project grant awards of equivalency will be considered.*

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate evidence of ongoing application for renewal for federal funding (provide institutional evidence of application to federal agency [i.e., eRA commons routing information] or letter of intent from Institutional grants award office)*
