The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG)’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is dedicated to identifying and bringing forth issues which concern minority populations and ways in which the College can better promote educational programs and provide input on research activities for the College on gastroenterological (GI) conditions that disproportionately impact underserved and minority populations.

The DEI Committee wishes to establish a database of speakers and lecture topics to help propel the aforementioned priorities. We are soliciting suggestions from all of ACG’s committee members on underrepresented in medicine (URiM)*, gender minority, and LGBTQI speakers and topics related to health and health care disparities, health equity, and/or workforce DEI in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

Please complete the sections below with suggested speaker names and topics of interest. Self-nominations are also encouraged and welcomed. We thank you for working with us to support ACG’s commitment to creating opportunities and increasing representation of voices from our URiM members and topics surrounding health equity and DEI from the podium.

We thank you all in advance for your contribution and commitment to this critical endeavour on behalf of the College, and to advance the field of GI and hepatology.

*AAMC defines those underrepresented in medicine as those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population.
