ACG Case Reports Journal Social Media Ambassador Application 2025-2026
The ACG Case Reports Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access publication that provides GI fellows, private practice clinicians, and other members of the health care team an opportunity to share interesting case reports with their peers and with leaders in the field. Articles are published online for free to all readers and prominently feature images and videos with case descriptions. The ACG Case Reports Journal was created to help fulfill ACG’s commitment to providing growth and learning opportunities for physicians still in GI fellowship and is edited exclusively by GI fellows. The journal is seeking an Internal Medicine Resident to fill the role of Social Media Ambassador. As Social Media Ambassador, you will promote the journal’s initiatives on its various social media platform and work with the Editorial Board to identify and implement new social media initiatives. This position has a 1-year term beginning June 1, 2025.
Responsibilities
• Post regularly scheduled items (Reviewer of the Month, Case of the Month, Editor Spotlight, Podcast Summary) to the journal’s social media accounts.
• Highlight journal content 1-2 times a week through on the journal’s social media accounts
• Collaborate with the Editorial Board to identify content for promotion
• Identify and implement new social media initiatives
• Promote readership or participation with the journal among peers and colleagues
• Attend monthly Editorial Board meetings via Zoom
• Attend the ACG Annual Meeting (the 2025 meeting is in in Phoenix, AZ from October 24-29)
• This position is limited to a single 1-year term

Eligibility:
Eligible applicants should be Internal Medicine Residents in North America as of April 30, 2025 who have an interest and demonstrable experience in managing social media platforms such as X, BlueSky, and LinkedIn. The Social Media Ambassador is required to join ACG if not currently a member.
Compensation:
The Social Media Ambassador will receive a $1,500 travel stipend to the ACG Annual Meeting as recognition for their contributions.
