Each March, ACG joins the broader medical and patient advocacy community to recognize and celebrate Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Awareness Month!
This year, ACG members hosted a community townhall in Orlando, led a bowling fundraiser in Virginia, celebrated the power of music to raise awareness through the annual “Tune It Up” concert, and more. Together, these efforts reflect ACG’s dedication to education, prevention, and community engagement in the fight against colorectal cancer.
Read below for all the highlights and don’t forget to submit your CRC awareness activities and projects for a SCOPY award!
Fight CRC’s United In Blue Installation

Each year since 2022, ACG members and College staff have volunteered to help advocates from Fight Colorectal Cancer install flags on the National Mall for their “United in Blue” display.
This dramatic installation of 27,400 blue flags on the National Mall near the U.S. Capitol is a powerful visual representation of those under age 50 projected to be diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2030 unless we do more to educate, screen, and raise awareness.

A special thank you to Samuel Giday, MD, FACG, the ACG Governor for Northern Florida, for providing essential screening and prevention guidance and then moderating an engaging panel discussion
We are also deeply grateful to Rep. Eskamani for her dedicated CRC advocacy and for honoring the memory of her mother by turning personal loss into meaningful public action.
