In the latest installment in the series, Conversations with Women in GI, Dr. Gaidos, chair of the ACG Committee on Women in GI, interviews ACG President Dr. Carol Burke on her path to the ACG presidency.

Dr. Burke shares insights on her involvement in the life of the College as well as practical advice to those ACG members seeking to get more involved, “If you have an interest, there is an opportunity for you in the College.”

In the interview, she outlines her goals for the year as ACG President.

“I also want to ensure that our members know the educational resources available to them to prepare for the changes in payment models that are upon us. We cannot let fear and discontent paralyze us. ACG members need to innovate ways to provide efficient, high-value and high quality medical care to patients.”
