C. difficile and Fecal Microbiota Transplant: The Beginnings of Microbiome Therapy

At the ACG Virtual Grand Rounds, Dr. Stollman shared how to advise patients on appropriate treatment regimens for C. difficile infection in uncomplicated and complicated patients, appropriately utilize the newest therapies for C. difficile infection, specifically the current status of Fecal Microbiota Transplant (FMT), and apply recent data regarding the role of FMT in special populations, such as the immunosuppressed and those with IBD.
